We are open!

Brownfield Community Library is open!

We are open on Tuesdays from 12-6 PM for curbside pick up and the public can physically enter the library from 4-6 PM only. On Thursdays we are open from 12-5 PM for curbside pickup and the public can physically enter the library from 4-5 PM only. 

If you are here for curbside pickup please call the library. Please leave your returns in the drop box outside the door. 


Here is what to expect when you visit the library:
  • Returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in. Fines will be waived until further notice.
  • The number of patrons in the library will be limited to 5 at a time. Please be patient. 
  • We would like to encourage patrons to do their best to limit their time in the library to 15 minutes. 
  • A maximum of two families will be permitted in the children's area at one time as long as social distancing can be maintained.
  • One person down an aisle for browsing.
  • Tables and chairs will not be available at this time.
  • Public washrooms will be available.
  • One computer will be available to the public

Governance

The Brownfield Community Library is an outlet library governed by the Parkland Regional Library Board. As an outlet library, we have a Local Society made up of dedicated volunteers who are responsible for local library operations, including fundraising.

Our current local society chair is Correna Cooper and our library manager is Darvy Gilbertson. Local Society meetings are open to the public.
